OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM

Orlando Allen, President and Company Director

Mr. Allen is a proven industry veteran and has over 12 years of experience in business with his embryonic years in banking then the family funeral services. A graduate of the business school at the University of Miami and later for his MSF in finance at Florida International University he excelled his career in the funeral service and manufacturing businesses and worked in various positions of management with increasing levels of responsibility. Mr. Allen was also instrumental in the growth and diversification of Trinidad and Tobago Woodworking Specialists Limited before leaving to start MLS. He has held the position of company director and president since 2013. Mr. Allen is a client advocate and believes strongly in building solid relationships and delivering on the promise to provide exceptional service.

Tara Pascall, Human Resources Director

Ms. Pascall who holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources provides day to day leadership to all account supervisors and maintains close contact with major accounts and facility supervisors. One of her primary responsibilities is carrying out the corporate philosophy and making sure that all team members are well trained and equipped to perform their job. Prior to joining MLS, Ms. Pascall held several positions of leadership in the project management and construction services sector.

Ameen Ho Sing Loy, General Manager and Company Director

As General Manager for MLS, Ameen is responsible for all operations and business lines across the company, including business development. Ameen leads the Business Development Section within MLS and plays a vital role in securing various Facilities Management contracts throughout Trinidad and Tobago including the provision of cleaning and pest control services which are part of MLS’s facility offerings. Ameen’s role as the lead Business Development personnel includes not only the marketing the services we offer and business development activities but the smooth and seamless transition of acquiring a new facility contract and handover of the project to MLS’s operational facility team. Equipped with a degree and Master’s in Business Administration, Ameen is a proactive, dynamic, multi-tasking and result- oriented professional with accomplished experience of 18 years in Banking, Property, Facilities Management and handling various types of commercial, residential, retail and mixed used developments. Prior to his employment with MLS for the last two years, Ameen has worked with a number of reputable banking institutions. Here he obtained invaluable experience and know-how in the field of Relationship and Facilities Management.

 

TECHNICAL TEAM

Antonio Wyse / Ellis Cato / Carlos Headley, Industrial/ Offshore and Commercial Scaffolding Consultant

Mr. Wyse who designs, develops and implements scaffolding systems from the most intricate commercial to industrial and offshore sites using the latest industry specifications and practices is one of two members of our technical commercial and industrial scaffolding team. He alone has over 18 years experience in the industry and along with Mr. Ellis Cato would amass over 40 years experience in this industry combined. He holds qualifications from Crane Training and Inspection Bureau Limited in Applied Rigging Practices, Banksman Duties and Safety, both confined space and scaffolding awareness qualifications from MG Engineering Lurgi Caribbean Ltd., Introduction to scaffolding building and basic offshore safety introduction and emergency training (BOSIET) from Falck Nutec and helicopter underwater escape certifications.

Alvin Williams / Mr. Ramlochan / Darren Clancy, Tiling/Flooring Specialist

MLS has assembled the best there is in a very competitive tiling and flooring industry. With over 70 years of work experience among these three MLS guarantees top quality workmanship in a timely and efficient manner. All combined have considerable knowledge of characteristics of all tiling materials used in installing and repairing a variety of soft and resilient floor coverings. Boasting profound knowledge of materials, practices, processes, and tools of the floor tiling trade along with excellent knowledge of safety practices and regulations pertaining to the floor tiling trade and even to pavers and laminate flooring, this outstanding crew of skilled personnel have completed from small to large projects and can do any job of any size. Mr. Ramlochan is a pioneer in the tiling industry being one of the very first commercial tile men in Trinidad and Tobago and his apprentice Mr. Alvin Williams who has worked on a number of commercial projects himself with over 18 years of experience individually. Mr Clancy who worked in commercial and residential flooring in Ireland for over 18 years also adds experience as he has worked in extremes of temperatures in both Europe and the Caribbean and has a vast amount of knowledge of and an uncommon manual dexterity to install tiling and also any type of laminate flooring. Demonstrating sound ability to work effectively with plans presented by project managers and having exceptional ability to assess and estimate material costs accurately our valued team is a leader in tiling and flooring. Jobs noted are Phoenix Gas building, Riverlett Road, New India Insurance, Victoria Avenue, Mc Donald’s West Mall and Grand Bazaar, ANSA Richmond Street showroom, Massy Morvant showroom, Republic Bank, Trincity Branch, UWI SPEC and Educational centre and United States Embassy.

 

HSE CONSULTANT TEAM

Vivek Hingoo / Tahyla Mohammed

With a Bsc. with honours in OSHE Mr. Hingoo is a cut above the rest in the field of health and safety. Ms. Mohammed also one to be not left in the shadows has a master’s degree in energy conservation and renewable energy. These two are critical in processes that support the core organisation of the business; ensuring that the organisation has the most suitable practices to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.

 

ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING TEAM

Micheal Pascall / Kenneth Sirju

Michael Pascall is a Trinidad & Tobago born, Canadian trained Architect with over thirty (30) years professional  experience  working  throughout  the  Caribbean.  From  the  late  1980's  he  managed  his Caribbean Practice from Castries, St. Lucia , and executed projects in Trinidad & Tobago, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Dominica, The Cayman Islands, The Turks & Caicos Islands and Bermuda. In 2007, Michael relocated his headquarters to Port of Spain, Trinidad where he has been involved with a significant number of commercial and public sector projects, throughout the twin island state. He holds dual citizen in Trinidad & Tobago and St. Lucia and is committed to an integrated, regional approach to sustainable architectural design and project management practices. Michael has worked extensively in his private practice and in collaboration with well-established regional and international  firms  in  executing  an  impressive  number  of  institutional,  educational,  commercial, residential and resort development projects, across the Caribbean. Mr. Kenneth Sirju who possesses a M.Sc. and M.A.P.E. in civil and structural engineering from England. His areas of significant experience and expertise include: Structural engineering of residential and large commercial buildings, especially in areas of high seismic episodes. Additional structural areas of expertise include design with conventional stud wall buildings, structural insulated panels (SIPSs), insulated concrete forms (ICF) using CEMPO, RASTRA, CONFORM and NUDURA systems and forensic engineering for structural failures. He has worked with many different agencies from many jurisdictions in Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. Kenneth has engineered projects in high seismic zones in north Trinidad along the el pillar fault lines. Civil engineering areas of significant expertise and experience include: commercial and residential subdivisions; commercial and residential site engineering; roadway design including mountain roads, streets, highways, major arterial streets and freeways; hydrology, water sewer and storm drainage design; bike trail recreation projects, piers, and construction management and inspection. He also has experience with processing of projects through government agencies with very demanding review processes.

 

S.T.O.W. CERTIFICATION

We have started and are in the process of becoming S.T.O.W. certified. Fifty percent of the process is completed, and although it is an ongoing process it will be achieved in the near future.
